Use of Artificial Intelligence Services

Compleo uses artificial intelligence (AI) services to provide enhanced functionality and automation for RTO compliance tasks.

AI-Powered Features

1. Certificate Verification

  • We use Anthropic's Claude API (commercial tier) to extract and validate data from uploaded certificates
  • Your certificate data is processed to identify student names, qualification codes, unit codes, and dates
  • This automated extraction handles various certificate formats without manual data entry

2. Email Triage and Classification

  • We use Anthropic's Claude API to automatically categorize and route emails
  • Email content is analyzed to determine inquiry types, extract key information, and suggest responses

How AI Processing Works

Data Sent: When you use AI-powered features, relevant data (certificate text, email content) is sent to Anthropic's servers for processing

Data Usage: Anthropic processes this data solely to provide the service and does NOT use it for model training
•
Data Retention: Anthropic does not permanently store your data after processing is complete
•
Commercial Terms: We use Anthropic's Commercial API, which has enterprise-grade privacy protections
•
Encryption: All data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (TLS/SSL)

Alternatives: Some features may offer manual alternatives if you prefer not to use AI processing

Australian Privacy Compliance

  • We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988
  • AI processing of RTO data is conducted in accordance with VET Data Policy requirements
  • Student data is handled securely and only used for legitimate educational administration purposes

Data Security

  • AI processing uses the same security standards as our core platform
  • All data transmissions are encrypted
  • We maintain audit logs of AI processing activities
  • Access is restricted to authorized users only

Your Rights

You retain all rights to your data, including:

  • Right to access data we've processed
  • Right to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to request deletion of your data
  • Right to opt-out of AI-powered features (where alternatives exist)
